Energy and Water

In accordance with Green Tourism Business Scheme (GBTS), the Alvia hotel will monitor the use of energy and water and will provide information on the actual use and cost of energy/ water by the business.  This allows us to continually review where we are with energy so we can reduce usage targets in future.

The Alvia have trained staff members in the reduction of the above named practices and we try and educate all of our guests so they are aware of our aims.  This is simply done by a brief mention at check in, information in guest directories/ website, plus we have notes in our bathrooms regarding laundry,  water usage and use of electricity supply.  Likewise our suppliers are screened according to our environment policy.
